Ladies and Gentlemen!
How's it all going? I know I've been a bit quiet recently, but I'm going to tackle this blog on my Blackberry to make it up to you. There is a computer in the apartment, but I like my seat too much.
Anyway....
Since Delray Beach I've been in Miami doing a lot of training and catching of of rays. We've been training at the University of Miami ,and generally been working out all over the shop...
It's a lot easier to get motivated for a run when it's along South Beach and not on a treadmill at the NTC!
It's been a good week and I'm really looking forward to Indian Wells where I had a great run last year. Slightly different surroundings to Miami but a beautiful part of the world all the same.
I've got a few friends here in Miami, which is great. Weirdly, I went to practice with Jamie Cerretani at a house belonging to one of his friends on Sunday, and turned up at the address only to find out the people in the house were in Miami on a stag-do from London. Not only that but one of the party was a friend of mine. Unbelievably random!
So when we finished practice we went back to hang out and even sneaked in a bit of wakeboarding! That was all going well until the coastguard pulled us over and gave us a ticket for sailing in the wrong area.
After Delray I decided to split with Dusan and explore other avenues. I didn't think it was working particularly well, and although I think we both have a lot to offer we both need to find different partners to further our careers. I will play with Simon Aspelin in the upcoming Masters Series events and will review things after that.
Now, the other great thing about Indian Wells is that it's Palm Springs. And that means two things: older people, and golf. I'm a few years off retirement, but I'm loving the million and one courses out there.
Needless to say, Kevin Ullyet has already issued a challenge - others might call it an opportunity to regain some pride - after the beating he received at his home course at Wentworth a month or so ago.
He's even bringing his own clubs over to the US. Don't worry, I'm sure my rental clubs will be more than adequate to see me through to another victory and all the glory that goes with it!
That's it from me for now. Catch you all soon...
Jamie
