Anything on mixed doubles cos I don't see it on Wimbledon website. I suppose it might be out same time as mixed draw.

Yes, the mixed is always later. Let's hope for a good draw for Jamie and Max and also good luck for Mark and Mashesh plus Booty and Ash.

Here's hoping for a good draw. 14th isn't a bad seeding either. Can't wait to see the mixed doubles posting.
Ouch - Gicquel and Santoro in the first round. that's pretty tough...

Andy plays Santoro in the first round as well. What a coincidence.

They've certainly not had it easy and also in the same section as Nestor and Zimonjic. However, If Jamie and Max perform to their potential there's no reason why they can't have a good run.

Ahhhhhhhh I can't wait, I'm going home so I will actually get to see Wimbledon!! YAY!!
Much to the bemusement of my largely US-based team, I have taken 2 weeks off just so as I can stroll down to the lawns of SW19, should the fancy take me!
(well that and I need a break from my house being rebuilt around me...!)

Pffffft rub it in! I will be up the very north you can get on the mainland :(
BUT
I will be free of parents so I can watch Wimbledon in peace and I can scream and shout as much as I like =) should I need to.

The OOP for Day 1 at Wimbledon is out...

No sign of Jax (or Andy for tomorrow)! That will give Jamie at least 1 more day of rest for play.

They seem to be trying to complete the top half of the draw first.
Only a few 1st round matches from the bottom half have been played or are due to play.
Thursday promises to be a bumper day of Murrayitis......
Jamie to hopefully do the same as Andy and beat Santoro....
Andy to defeat Malisse.

The bad news for the Rozzie household is... well none really!
I got tickets in the 8:30 pm online allocation for today and saw:
Naomi/Venus
Rafa
ANDY & Fabrice
AND... queued during Rafa's match for tickets to see JJ!!!
However... I've now gotten my mum (who's up for the week) all Jamie-watch-excited and she's miffed as hell he's not on tomorrow... but guess what?
On today's 12:00 Returns allocation - I got tickets to Centre for... THURSDAY - so Jamie-watch (and possibly Andy AND JJ-watch) abounds!!!
Will blog about the whole day - prolly on (W)TF (heee!) and will post a link in here (even though it was Jamie-Lite), in Andy's and of course on JJ's forum, where you can go find it.
Yawn, stretch.... g'night John-boy..... [/strain of harmonica]

What?! How did you get tickets? What's an online allocation? What's returns allocation????? Every ticket site I go to charges me £1900!!! And says I have to buy two and with VAT on top, its over £4000!!!! *is desperate*

You need to look at the Wimbledon website (http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/index.html)- I think you can find out there how the new system works. Or check on Andy's website ....
It sounds as though you need to have 'fingers on the buzzer' mentality though.
LadyTigress
24-06-2008, 10:49 PM
I don't understand. I've been to the Wimbledon site plenty of times in advance... it just says something about applying for a ballot several months in advance, something called "debentures", and if I search elsewhere for where to get tickets, they charge over £4000 as I said! I ask again, what is online allocations, what is returns allocations, and how I do get tickets?
Sallydaisy
24-06-2008, 10:52 PM
There is a thread on ANdy's site. Wimbledon who is going/tickets/info etc.
You don't need to join to read it (if you're already a member then just log in) - seems plenty of people are getting great tickets to Centre Court.
LadyTigress
24-06-2008, 11:30 PM
I don't understand how they are getting tickets though... I looked everywhere... ballot tickets you have to apply for months in advance... online ticket services charge £4000... debenture tickets cost £21000 and you have to get an invite from a rich and famous person... :( Can't ANYBODY tell me where they are getting these tickets right into Centre Court at the last minute? I was crushed when I thought I couldn't go this year... every ticket that isn't sold is going for like truckloads of cash! I'm not rich! I can't afford that! Can't somebody tell me how they are getting hold of tickets at the last minute without having to pay through the nose? Please?
Sallydaisy
24-06-2008, 11:45 PM
saw you were online at am.com checking the wimbers thread.
I'm told you need to go to Ticket master (http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/artist/966810?tm_link=tm_sports_f5) to buy tickets for 2 days hence.... try at 12noon and 8.30
that is what a lot of discussion on the last pages of the thread is about.
good luck!!!

I'm guessing 8:30pm if she listed it after 12 noon.
JAMES4579
25-06-2008, 08:26 AM
Yes, it is. Returns go on sale 2 days before from noon and the back rows from 8.30 pm the night before at exactly the same price plus the 10% ticket master fee, so for today the total I paid was £51.70, first few days was a bit cheaper at £41.80. I've now had centre court tickets 3 days in a row! It has been all in the back rows but still great to be there!
OK - in between trying to project manage the practical rebuilding of my house, and getting ready to leave for Wimbledon now...
Here's the link (http://www.tennisforum.com/showthread.php?p=13475242&posted=1#post13475242)in (w)TF in JJ's forum to my blog...
Pics are TITCHY because ImageShack and I are just not getting along today - so hopefully will get em in a bit bigger... but you get the idea...
More today - going all Frenchy with the Allez Amelie (and perhaps to a lesser extent for Marion!)
Will also post same in Andy's forum...
Edit: GAH! I'll post this in Thanks for the Memories! - Soz!

Mark and Mahesh lost the first set 7-5.  I really can't deal with another 1st round loss. I know they're coming in with no matches together on grass, Mark not playing for a month, and Mahesh not being 100%, but still, I'm hoping they can win some matches.

They're playing a scratch pairing aren't they???
Surely their experience will come through - especially if they get chance for a longer match.
