View Full Version : Jamie's Qualifying Rounds at Queens
Morning all - well it's a beautiful day, and still feel a leeeeeeeete bleary eyed from last night.. but it's a beautiful day and here's the Schedule of Play (http://www.artoischampionships.com/1/draws/orderofplay_qsat.asp) for the qualifying round...
Soooo.... off I head to Queens on the hunt of a lesser spotted Stretch-at-Singles...

oooooh, you're going Ros???? Please check out Max too, though he's on Court 10 while Jamie's gets to play on Court 1! :rolling:
Yeah - That's my plan... I might have to lurk around waiting for the bank to open before heading to the tube - the other bank I needs doesn't open until 10 and I can't be bothered to wait for that one !!!
I think watching the qualies is free too... but not sure...
Just getting shot of pics of my ever-going house rebuilding so I can snap some photies of the boys in action!

Have an amazing time!! Really hope Max can find form in the singles since grass is his best surface in my opinion, and it I'll be happy with Jamie as long as he has fun out there and doesn't get too down on himself. :D
I must admit - it'll be the first time I'll have ever gone to Queens, even though it's pretty much on my doorstep - so not sure how busy it'll be for Qualies... but y'know.... when am I gonna get a chance to possibly see Stretch and Beastie up close!!!
I'm assuming that Ct 1 is gonna be ever so slightly bigger than Ct 10 so will head to 10 first and then wander over to Ct 1 to get settled in nice and close...
Oh things to go into the loft/dishwasher/washing machine will just have to wait... :)

You know you're an addicted tennis fan when chores come after tennis! :p
Good plan. Max is on before Jamie anyways so scheduling should work out as long as the first match on court 1 isn't a breeze for whoever wins. :D
Hey I'm still holding out hope for the tidying-pixies to come visit my pad and miraculously sort out all this stuff for me....
But somehow they never do...
Instead I am surveying the damage done by the post-gig-post-multiple JD&Coke demons last night... something to do with cheese and sweetcorn toasted sandwiches judging from the detritus in my kitchen!!!

Hope it's a great day RFS and fingers crossed that Jamie and Max can put in decent performances. I can't get down till later in the week.Obviously Max in with more of a shout and let's hope Jamie can enjoy the experience.
I started the thread in the bloggy bit - just need to get over this Women's final (sigh... COME ON DINARA!!!)....
Pics to follow and full round up
And so it is done:
Here's my blog thread (http://jamiemurray.org/forum/showthread.php?p=37171#post37171) with pics - I'm so sorry it spread over 3 pages guys - there's a smiley/image limit so I had to split it up...
Hope its OK!
So sorry Jamie lost in qualies. It must be a while since he played singles.
I'd love to see him revive his singles career. Lots of practice Jamie then maybe you'll get lucky for Wimbledon. I do hope so as you are too young to give it up completely even though we know doubles is your priority.

I hope he does get more of a chance... although ... when he's charging the net - it's easy to see why he's gotten where he is in Dubs too.
I wish I'd got more photos at the net, but boy that guy is fast the points were over before I got the camera up half the time!

It has been pointed out and I minded myself afterwards that Jamie actually played singles qualifying in Vina Del Mar just before the Davis Cup when he lost to Granollers-Pujol.
