Well they have had mixed results but some great moments and have beaten the Bryans twice, who they are playing again right now. Let's hope the partnership goes from strength to strength.

Max has his qualies singles match in Hamburg soon. He faces Boris Pashanski in the opening round of qualies.

It's 4-4 in the 1st set. Max was broken in the first game but he got it back on Pashanski's 2nd service game.

Certainly a great doubles player in his own right and a friendly character to boot. Pity about the tight loss today though and though singles may not be his main occupation now can still produce the goods at times.

A small taster

With my new partner in doubles this year it has been a fun and challenging road so far. We certainly have a lot of room to improve as a team and we spent a lot of time on and off the court trying to get better and for that reason every tournament that comes our way we approach with the great sense of an opportunity to make these improvements work.

Just to mention that this weekend there are some Davis Cup Euro/Africa Zone Group 1 play-offs.

Max is in action for Belarus v Poland in Minsk. Poland are 2-0 up.
Voltchkov lost first rubber to Przysiężny.
Max lost the 2nd rubber to Janowicz 6-4, 7-5, 6-4.

I just saw, in the WTF info about Mirnyi/Ram (http://www.barclaysatpworldtourfinals.com/News/Tennis/2009/Contenders/Max-Mirnyi-and-Andy-Ram.aspx), that this is their last tournament as a team:

In his last tournament before re-uniting with longtime partner Jonathan Erlich, Andy Ram will team with Max Mirnyi on one of the biggest stages in tennis.

Ram will re-unite with Erlich at the beginning of the 2010 season, leaving Mirnyi to look for a new partner.

Apparently at Bercy it's been reported that Llodra said he would be partnering Ram in 2010 but the link to the quoted source is not working.
Just have to wait and see I guess.
