We're offering one lucky person the chance to get their hands on a genuine Wimbledon towel, as famously used by the players at The Championships.

And all you'll need to do to be in with a chance of winning, is answer one simple question: how many Aces will Jamie serve at Wimby this year?

To enter, simply put your answer - e.g '63' - in the thread below. It's that simple!

Rules

1. One entry per person

2. No editing of guesses

3. In the event that more than one person guesses correctly, winner will be decided by 'lucky dip'

4. Deadline for entries is 1 hour AFTER Jamie's first round match has finished in either mens or mixed doubles.

5. Jamiemurray.org reserves the right to cancel the competition without notice

Here is a list of all the entries so far (up to #18 )

I didn't realise Sawah has already said 7 - I'm happy to go to 8 instead - but see that edits aren't allowed - over to Rob and/or a Mod.

As rules state, we must accept your first answer...which is 7!

If that does indeed end up as the winner, it will be over to Robs trusty cap of destiny to find a winner!!

Is this meant to be closed? Deadline says noon today :(

If not, my guess would be 15 but understand if too late :)

This thread is still open. I've amended the closing time/date to be one hour after Jamie's first round match whether it be in the mens or mixed doubles.

Can those of who've already entered change our predictions up to that time? It's a bit unfair to change the deadline and let those joining in now wait until the end of his first match.

The Editors post stated one hour after the start of Jamie's first match so the thread title is correct to that.

I just picked his birth year - thought it would be a lucky number to pick. :shades:

Jamie & Erlich served 3 aces in their match, and Jamie & Liezel served a total of 6 aces in their matches, but of course the stats don't say how many each partner served. But anyone guessing more than 9 has definitely not won.

Yes, I have the same figures. We're checking to find out the exact number hit by Jamie.

Hello all

We've decided to assume the correct answer as nine aces - the number Jamie and his partner(s) served at the tournament.

Congratulations to Linda who picked 9 and is the winner.

Your postal details to 'Editor' please.

Many thanks

Ed

Liezel served at least one ace - I saw it.

Why do the competition rules change so much

Congrats to Linda - but I saw earlier that Jane had won it

Liezel served at least one ace - I saw it.So you may have done but it was difficult to find out the rest to make the proper distinction so the most practical solution was to go with the total served by Jamie/his team which is 9.

Congrats to Linda - but I saw earlier that Jane had won it :confused:That was me in error; now amended.
:shamed:

Linda is definitely the winner.
