Doha - Dec 29th 2006

Hey! We arrived in Doha a couple nights ago and practiced yesterday and this morning...the weather is very cool and windy...conditions are pretty tough for tennis even tho the temperature is nice to play in. i played with Andy for an hour this morning and then took on Younes El Aynoui whilst Andy played with Jamie Baker Hitting the gym this avo and thenn will sign in for the singles qualifying but I don't think I will get in...Doubles starts on Monday or Tuesday...Brad arrived late last night and was on good form today...hes been boosting it in the gym and enjoyed telling me about his personal best on the bench press...285lbs! anyway i hope everything is going well back home and will keep you updated of whats going on!


Doha - Jan 2nd 2007

So we play third match today prob around 630pm...weather is soooo cold here...i was freezinng watching andy play yesterday! Wasn't half as windy as it had been though. We have a tough match today in the doubles...I think it is a match we can win if we play well as the guys are not renound doubles players although excellent singles players and both return well...the conditions are slow so there wont be many cheap points on the serve...i will practice for an hour and 15 so i know i'm ready to play...its a big match for me and would be good to start the year off with a win..and a lot of money up for grabs too! Wish us luck!


Australian Open Build Up - Jan 7th 2007

we arrived in melbourne last night at 230am..hotel is very nice...will probably try practice today at some point...weather doesnt look so warm which is a plus! i woke up at 715am this morning which was probably a good thing to get over the jet lag...i slept 10 of the 14hours on the flight haha!

i think andy was a bit unlucky in the final with bad calls and mis hits etc he lost three times his serve but it was never lubo playing great tennis...i felt he missed a few easy shots and he probabaly feels the same...but all in all it was a good week and he will move to a career high today..

im pumped to be in australia as i've never been before and to play in a grand slam will be huge! my doubles ranking will move to around 60 65 after doha and hopefully will get better after the open...i will get a good weeks practice in before the event so i am well prepared...everybody always tells me how good australia is and how everybody is loving it during the event so i look forward to experiencing it...

Australian Open - Jan 16th 2007

Hey from Melbourne!!
Andy got off to a great start today...was a great first round opponent for him and got himself into a rythmn quickly and i think this will bode well for future matches...i did some commentary for the bbc today during andys match...i was a bit nervous about doing it but it was good fun...the weather was a farce today...matches wont finish untill around 2-3am..i was drawn against mahut and beneteau which will be a very tough match...they have played a lot together in the past and have reached semi finals of us open...we will play on thursday and hopefully the weather will be a bit cooler...


Australian Open - Jan 20th 2007

Hey! Hope all is well on the other side of the world! We went down in the doubles...couldnt expect too much going into a grand slam with a scratch partner...we played a tough team who served and returned well..went to the players party on thurs night...it was a pirate the,m so everyone was in bandanas and accompanied by swords and big hooped earings..was good fun...i come back to london tomoro and will try to play in zagreb...need to find a partner first...will go to watch andy this evening against chela..im sure he'll be up for some revenge and i fancy his chances of taking him...


Zagreb - Jan 29th 2007

yo! spent about 36 hours in zagreb and then turned around and came back to scotland as i didnt get in...doubles was so strong for some reason...got me down...going off to states on friday for 5 6 weeks...gonna start up in dallas before playing the tour events...


Las Vegas - Feb 26th 2007

hey guys...just arrived in vegas...its 140am here...we're gonna sign for alternate...we missed the cut by one...killer...

had another great week in memphis...played really well in semis and final and deserved to win today...back to back titles and up to 7th in the race! pity we possibly wont play for around 6 weeks now with the masters series tourneys and then hopefully davis cup for me...we are trying for a wild card into miami but its probably not gonna happen...

Indian Wells - March 6th 2007

hey guys...hows things? i rocked up to indian wells on thurdays evening with booty...been practicing the last few days...hoping we will get a wild card but wont know till friday...if not i will play wwith andy...indian wells is an unbelievable place...great views and a million and one golf courses...im gonna fire it up with andy n tim and even john lloyds having a game...should be fun!

Davis Cup v Netherlands - April 12th 2007

Hey Guys...havent't been on here for a while...poor from me! i have to say a big thank you for all the support at the Davis Cup in Birmingham...I loved every minute of it and can't wait for the next tie in september against croatia...i'm sure it will be a tough tie as they have some great players but we have a strong team now with Tim back in the fold...and of course me for the doubles haha we lost in valencia today...pretty poor result...booty didnt play his best match and im sure he would admit that...glad to be getting out of there too be honest tho...was miserable weather all week and now looking forward to monte carlo....9 hour drive for booty tomoro as i can't drive...he's loving that one haha making some cds as we speak to keep him amused when i nod off! anyway guys...i hope all is well and wish us luck in monte carlo...

Barcelona - April 21st 2007

hey guys...how is everyone? i arrived in barca yesterday evening having driven from nice...7hour drive...not much fun...barca is however! i haven't been back since i finished at the academy 3years ago...we play lee and vliegen in first round which is a pretty good draw...they arent a partnership and i don't think they play a lot of doubles...we have been working hard the last week sorting out our strategies for clay so i hope it will pay off...pretty slow conditions here i think...courts are much slower than monte carlo and the balls are heavy...monte carlo was disappointing obviously...never good when your partner gets injured especially when its your bro and it was disappointing to have to stop as i had a chance to pick up some big points...if we can get a few wins before french open we might get seeded so thats some motivation for us in the coming weeks!

Merry Christmas!: December 26, 2006


Hey guys - Merry Christmas. Hope it was a good day for you all. We had a bit of a late start, bit of Soccer Am then went out around noon for the day - did the family rounds.....finally made it home about half an hour ago. Now got to start packing for leaving tomorrow. Going to Doha with Andy - playing doubles together which should be good. Got a long flight on Wednesday via Dubai so will be using my new psp......

Will be checking in with you on the forum when we can so get some good threads going....

Happy christmas to u to Jamie. Good luck in the doubles for Doha im sure u will do well. Hope that u are sucessful in climbing the doubles rankings next year and become a real factor on the doubles tour in competing for lots of titles and hopefully winning a grand slam one day. Good luck.


Soccer Am was on for most of the day on Sky sports 1 showing the best bits it showed Andy again talking about Brads dog.


thanks a lot - last year was a big breakthrough for me and next year i hope to do even better. Playing Doha with Andy then Oz Open with Benjamin Becker ( the guy who put Agassi oput of US Open). That will be my first Slam apart from Wimbledon last year so looking forward to that. It's gonna be hot tho!!!

Cool, becker looked decent against Agassi, so hopefully you will do good together. By the way, how was going to practice doubles with the bryan brothers?


I didn't go in the end....the Bryans got chance to do some exhibition for big bucks same week and decided to go. It mean I would only get 3 days with them and I decided it wasn't worth the length of flight and the money. I'm on a tight budget you know!! I will do this in the future for sure tho. They are great guys really good fun!

Well done in Doha Jamie. I am looking forward to watching both you and Andy playing in Melbourne... am very fortunate to be able to come to the Open as am in melbourne on a gap year. Being from Dunblane I will be giving you guys all of my support. I f you want a recommendation of a good pizza restaurant, i suggest 'automatic' in the crown centre.Enjoy Melbourne as it is fantastic. Good luck.

Aussie Open: January 22, 2007


Hey...just got back to the UK today...gonna train in London until Friday I think before Zagreb...I didn't go to the Chela match but watched on tv and then I was travelling home during the nadal match which sounded like an unbelievable match!! I think he did himself proud throughout the tournament and this will bode well for him for the rest of the year.

i play wednesday prob in the afternoon...we play armando who won in delray so he has to get a rest day which is normal...i lost my number 1 ranking today so I need some good results the next couple weeks to overtake him...aucks...im coming after u haha!

my question is...how long will it take you to answer all questions posted? haha

we won today 6362 played pretty well...we did an interview after the match...you can check it out on the tourney website... www.tbarmtennis.com they have some good video clips of the tennis especially kristian pless smashing his racket into 23 pieces after losing his match...very funny...u will be able to watch highlights of our final tomoro too...we play at 630 in the evening...bed time for some i know haha...anyways wish me luck and im sure i will be answering your questions soon!

hey guys...we won our first round 76 75...was a great match...the stadium was packed out...really good atmosphere...was strange to have nadal on the other side of the net and i think we were a bit tentative at the start....i served and returned well and booty fired it up on the returns at the end of each set....we will play on tuesday now...not sure who against as they play tomoro...

I think that it is very unlikely that we will see them on here as we used to.

However: The new site is going to have a fancy gizmo that lets them post by just sending a text from their mobiles. So I think we may get one-directional snippets from them fairly regularly. Hope so, anyway.
